While Manchester City currently holds the top position in the league, Brighton & Hove Albion has proven to be a formidable opponent for many top teams this season. In a pre-match press conference, Jeglertz highlighted the necessity for his squad to bring their best game.
“They demonstrated their capabilities before the international break with their performance against Arsenal,” Jeglertz said. “They are a very challenging team to face; they can rotate players and shift tactics during a match, making it a tough encounter, and we’re fully aware of that.
“To secure a win, we need to perform at our highest level. At the same time, we recognize our own strengths; we are a quality team. Having confidence is crucial, and we hope to harness that on Saturday.”
If Manchester City wins and title contenders Arsenal drop points against Leicester City in midweek, City will clinch the championship. Jeglertz stressed the importance of focusing solely on Saturday’s match.

“We’re certainly aware of the league standings. Ultimately, it’s within our control, and we can’t influence outcomes of other matches,” he stated.
“Our priority is winning on Saturday. We will observe other matches but our concentration is fully on overcoming Brighton.”
When discussing the potential title win, Jeglertz affirmed that their preparation remains consistent, with the squad already buzzing with confidence and energy.
“We’ll continue our routine as usual, without altering our approach. Our discussions about Brighton are no different than if it were the start of the season or the final matches. Everyone is conscious of the stakes, and our aim is clear: to win on Saturday.”

Manchester City’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion is scheduled to kick-off at 12pm on Saturday.
