Hull City manager Sergej Jakirovic praised his players for their effort in securing a 0-0 draw against Watford, which halted their four-match winning streak.

Speaking to BBC Radio Humberside, Jakirovic expressed satisfaction with the single point, acknowledging the challenge posed by Watford, who held an advantage in ball possession. He remarked, “It was a very difficult game for us. Watford were more effective with the ball.”

The coach noted that while Watford was strong without possession, Hull aimed to maintain a compact formation. He added, “I was perhaps more pleased with our performance in the second half, though I found some decisions made by the players during open play and counter-attacks puzzling.”

Jakirovic commended his team for their determination and effort, stating, “I congratulate my boys because they gave their all. It’s not easy. However, at times we lacked composure around the penalty area, and we need to build our confidence.”
