Jakirovic Uncertain About…

Hull City manager Sergej Jakirovic has expressed uncertainty about the club’s plans to submit a second offer for Swansea City striker Zan Vipotnik.

Reports surfaced on Monday revealing that Hull, who earned promotion to the Premier League last season, had seen a bid for Vipotnik turned down by Swansea.

The 24-year-old Slovenia international was the top scorer in the Championship for the 2025-26 season, tallying 25 goals for Swansea—including 23 in the league—and also netting three times for his national team.

During an appearance on BBC Radio Humberside on Tuesday, Jakirovic was asked about Hull’s interest in Vipotnik.

“Yes, but it was not enough, and that’s all there is to it,” he stated. “We submitted a bid two days ago, and it was rejected.”

When questioned about the possibility of the Tigers making a second offer for a player he previously coached at Maribor, Jakirovic responded, “I don’t know. I think not.”
