On Monday, Néstor Lorenzo, the manager of the Colombia national team, announced his 26-player roster for the World Cup, featuring stars like James Rodríguez and Luis Díaz.

Colombia is set to compete in Group K at the World Cup, facing Uzbekistan in Mexico City, Congo DR in Guadalajara, and Portugal in Miami.

Colombia clinched their World Cup spot by finishing third in the CONMEBOL table, earning 28 points from 18 matches.

Díaz and Rodríguez were pivotal during the qualifiers, helping Colombia secure a place just above Uruguay and Brazil on goal difference. They also participated in the team’s Copa América final loss to Argentina in 2024 in Miami.

Rodríguez reported to the national team’s World Cup camp early, leaving Minnesota United on May 13 to prepare for the tournament. His last match with Minnesota was on May 11, after which he missed the team’s final two games before the league’s World Cup break as he signed a short-term contract through June 2026, with an option through December 2026.
