Striker Igor Jesus has shared his aspirations for the World Cup as he aims for success with Nottingham Forest in Europe.
The 25-year-old has netted once in five appearances for the five-time champions and is determined to secure his place in Brazil’s squad for the tournament this summer in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Jesus currently leads the Europa League with seven goals and is in Porto with Forest ahead of the first leg of the quarter-finals on Thursday.
Having scored 13 goals this season—three of which were in the Premier League—since his £10 million transfer from Botafogo last summer, Jesus is eager to prove himself.
“It would be a dream to be part of the squad going to the World Cup, and I believe I have the skills to make it happen, but it will depend on my performance here as well,” he stated at the Estadio do Dragao.
“I am training hard and always try to support my teammates in any way I can, and I hope to continue doing so.”
The forward scored during the 3-0 first-leg knockout victory against Fenerbahce during Vitor Pereira’s debut in charge, and he is looking forward to further challenges against the Portuguese league leaders, including former Chelsea defender and fellow Brazilian international Thiago Silva.

“I’m extremely happy to be the top scorer; it’s a tough position to hold. I always put in maximum effort to support the team. Tomorrow is a crucial match, and I believe we can succeed,” Jesus said.
“Silva is an exceptional center-back, but that doesn’t faze me. I want to perform to the best of my ability and help the team. We have several talented players, and we need to give our all tomorrow to secure a win.”
“We understand our capabilities and are confident in what we can achieve.”
