Joe Hart stands up for…

Joe Hart has come to the defense of Jude Bellingham and Thomas Tuchel, following a “provocative” question that resulted in the England star publicly responding to his manager after their recent World Cup quarter-final victory against Norway.

The dynamics of their relationship have come under scrutiny again after Tuchel expressed dissatisfaction with his players’ performance during their 2-1 extra-time win in Miami, remarks that Bellingham found hard to accept.

Upon hearing Tuchel’s comments right after the final whistle, a weary Bellingham replied to ITV: “Yeah, well, whatever,” and defended his teammates, which has rekindled speculation about a rift between player and manager, something Tuchel acknowledged as having “blown up.”

Speaking before England’s critical semi-final match against Argentina, Hart criticized the media for their questioning of Bellingham, which he felt contributed to the latest controversy swirling around the team.

“The question posed to Jude Bellingham was a bit unfair, in my view, as it focused solely on the negativity of what Thomas said,” Hart stated on BBC One.

“Naturally, he’s going to respond defensively, feeling like he’s being targeted after accomplishing something significant, and then the focus shifts to this.”

“However, when they’re both behind closed doors and Bellingham comprehends Tuchel’s comments in their entirety, I’m sure they’ll share a laugh over it. I believe Tuchel anticipated Bellingham’s response, given that was all that was said.”

“I’m not trying to tell anyone how to do their job, and everyone is entitled to ask questions. But as a player, if I was emotional after reaching a semi-final – which, by the way, I haven’t – I might react similarly.”

“I think it was somewhat unfair, but again, I’m not here to dictate how you do your job.”
