Juventus Eye January Move…

Last summer, Liverpool revamped their attack with the acquisitions of Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, and Hugo Ekitike.

Sporting director Richard Hughes invested record amounts in both Wirtz and Isak, while Ekitike arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt for £69 million.

To balance the finances, Hughes opted to sell Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, both of whom were Premier League title winners and generated significant revenue. There were also expectations that Federico Chiesa might depart.

Chiesa’s Limited Playing Time

The Italian winger joined Liverpool from Juventus in 2024 for £12 million, but his first season at Anfield has proven challenging. Despite interest from Serie A clubs, Chiesa worked hard to become a viable option for manager Arne Slot this season.

Nevertheless, his future remains uncertain due to limited playing time; he has made just one start in the Premier League this season—against Wolves last weekend.

Juventus Eyeing Chiesa

As the January transfer window approaches, reports from Italy suggest Juventus may seek to bring Chiesa back.

La Gazzetta dello Sport indicates that Chiesa is a serious candidate for a winter move, although the final decision rests with Liverpool’s executives.

“The recent strategy is to pursue a loan deal to re-sign Federico Chiesa back to the Bianconeri,” the report states.

“Chiesa, who has been with Liverpool for a year and a half, is among midfielders and wingers being considered in recent weeks.”
