Juventus Need Champions…

Reports from the UK and Italy continue to suggest that Juventus is eyeing a summer transfer for Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte as the Bianconeri aim to bolster their midfield options.

Is Juventus Interested in Manchester United’s Ugarte?

According to Corriere dello Sport and other sources, Juventus is among the clubs interested in acquiring Uruguayan international Ugarte, who currently holds a market valuation of around €40 million.

The 24-year-old has faced challenges living up to expectations since his €50 million move from Paris Saint-Germain to United in the summer of 2024. The Manchester Evening News suggests that it might be time for United to ‘cut their losses’ with Ugarte, as his first-team chances have dwindled during his second season at Old Trafford.

Juventus could be one of the clubs providing Ugarte with a fresh start, but their interest is largely contingent on their ability to qualify for the next season’s Champions League.

The Bianconeri have an opportunity to close the gap to the Serie A top four when they face Genoa in Serie A on Easter Monday. Meanwhile, Como, currently sitting in fourth place, managed only a 0-0 draw against Udinese on Monday.

Other clubs like Galatasaray, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa have also been mentioned as potential landing spots for Ugarte this summer.
