Juventus Pursues…

Juventus is engaged in ongoing negotiations with Parma regarding striker Mateo Pellegrino. Despite Crystal Palace’s recent efforts to step in, the main obstacle appears to be the terms, rather than the €30 million price tag.

With the recent departure of Dusan Vlahovic as a free agent, Juventus is seeking to bolster their attacking options, especially with talents like Lois Openda and Jonathan David also available.

As discussions regarding Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain continue, Juventus is now placing considerable attention on Pellegrino.

Initial reports indicated that Parma had rejected an initial offer, but discussions are ongoing in hopes of reaching a resolution.

The main issues seem to revolve around not just the €30 million fee, but also the proposed structure. Juventus desires a loan arrangement with an option to buy, which would become mandatory should specific conditions be fulfilled.

Parma has remained firm, requesting more assurance that the transfer would become permanent, including the timing of payments.

Additionally, a percentage of the fee is owed to Pellegrino’s former club, Velez Sarsfield. The Ducali acquired him from Velez for just €1.64 million back in February 2025, but they owe seven percent of any future transfer fee.

Last season, the 24-year-old scored 12 goals and provided 1 assist in 39 appearances for Parma across Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

As noted by Sportitalia transfer expert Gianluigi Longari, Crystal Palace has made an attempt to swoop in, but Pellegrino is reportedly set on joining Juventus.
