Tottenham have agreed to loan goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to Juventus, with an option to make the move permanent.
The 29-year-old Italy international is expected to travel to Turin to complete his return to Serie A. The deal includes a non-obligatory purchase clause worth £8.6m.
Juventus turned to Vicario after their pursuit of Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez fell through, with Villa closing in on Parma’s Zion Suzuki. Martinez is currently sidelined with a finger injury.
Vicario had lost his starting spot at Spurs under Roberto de Zerbi, who elevated Antonin Kinsky to first choice last season. De Zerbi has since confirmed Kinsky will remain No. 1, with Martin Dubravka joining on a free from Burnley in July to add competition.
The move comes amid a record spending push by the north London club, who have brought in six new signings and are targeting two more attacking players. Spurs have also moved on several former first-teamers, including captain Cristian Romero, England international Djed Spence and Yves Bissouma.
Vicario made 117 appearances for Tottenham after arriving from Empoli for £17.2m in 2023.
