Lawrence Shankland…

Lawrence Shankland says he doesn’t feel under much pressure to make his mark at Rangers, stressing he has always been eager to prove himself. The striker moved from Hearts to Ibrox in May before featuring for Scotland at the World Cup.

At 30, Shankland ranks third on the Scottish Premiership’s all-time scorers list with 80 goals from spells at Aberdeen, Dundee United and Hearts—12 behind Leigh Griffiths and James Tavernier, who has recently left Rangers.

Speaking to reporters in Spain, where Rangers are holding a pre-season camp, he said a fresh start means working to become a first-choice pick. He added that he wants to seize every opportunity, is excited to be at the club, and can’t wait to get going.
