Lens Open Talks to Sign…

RC Lens has initiated talks for Charleroi midfielder Yacine Titraoui (23), as reported by Foot Mercato and L’Équipe.

The Algeria international has become a key target for Lens as they seek to strengthen their midfield ahead of next season’s Champions League campaign, following their recent Coupe de France victory.

Lens is anticipating the departure of Mamadou Sangaré, who is on the verge of a record-breaking €48m transfer to Brentford. The club is also evaluating LASK midfielder Melayro Bogarde but is currently focused on negotiations regarding Titraoui.

Titraoui joined Charleroi from Paradou AC for €1.2m two years ago and has a year left on his contract, although the club has an option to extend it for another season.

Last season, Titraoui boosted his profile with 42 appearances across all competitions, contributing five goals and three assists. He has five caps for Algeria and was part of the squad at the World Cup, though he did not get any playing time during the tournament.

Hull City, who are newly promoted to the Premier League, have also shown interest in Titraoui in the past, but Lens appears to be advancing in their efforts to secure his services at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis. GFFN | George Boxall
