Linfield’s manager, David Healy, stated that his team successfully “took the sting” out of Crusaders during their 4-0 win at Windsor Park.
The home team took the lead before halftime thanks to an own goal from Lewis Barr and a shot from Matthew Fitzpatrick.

In the second half, Callumn Morrison scored twice, propelling Linfield to within seven points of league leaders Coleraine.
“We had to put in the effort, as we always do,” Healy told BBC Sport NI.
“Crusaders will be disappointed about the goals they conceded, as they gave us an advantage and a foundation to build upon.”
“I’m pleased with the result. Seeing Crusaders suffer a heavy defeat last weekend could have sparked a positive response from them, so it was vital for us to take the sting out of their play, and we managed to do that.”
Morrison’s two goals in just 21 minutes during the second half marked his first league goals of the season.
However, he missed a chance for a third when Jonny Tuffey saved his penalty, diving in the right direction.

“He probably should have scored it and will be disappointed,” Healy noted when asked about Morrison’s penalty miss.
“But I thought his work ethic and overall play were strong today. Callumn is a gifted player, and we’re excited for him to build on this confidence and hopefully add more goals to his game.”
