With just 13 appearances across all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain this season, including 12 starts, Lucas Beraldo (22) seems unlikely to disrupt the established order in the central defense.

This lack of opportunity is understandable, as the Brazilian defender has yet to prove to Luis Enrique that he can serve as a reliable substitute for Marquinhos (31) and Willian Pacho (24), the clear first-choice players, whose recent performances have started to raise some concerns. Beraldo appears to be grappling with a personal issue, reportedly more focused on a dispute with a young teammate—whose identity remains undisclosed—rather than vying for his position, according to L’Équipe.

Such circumstances may clarify why he has managed to feature in only one match this month, specifically during the Rouge et Bleu’s 3-0 win against FC Metz, despite a hectic February schedule of six games.

Since joining PSG from FC São Paulo two years ago, the Brazilian international, who has earned five caps for his national team, has made a total of 75 appearances (scoring four goals) for the club.
