PSG head coach Luis Enrique is feeling optimistic as they prepare for their Les Parisiens’ Champions League semi-finals first leg against Bayern Munich. The Spaniard acknowledges that while Bayern are a top team, they also recognize the consistency the Bundesliga giants have exhibited.
“As a team, we’re certainly in contention. No team surpasses ours,” said Luis Enrique during his pre-match press conference at Campus PSG. The two-time Champions League-winning coach also emphasized that PSG holds considerable respect for Bayern Munich, akin to the respect they have for other formidable opponents they’ve faced in the knockout stages of the Champions League, such as Chelsea and Liverpool.

Luis Enrique suggested that this year’s journey feels different from last year’s path toward their historic first Champions League title, which was more about relief. “Now, it’s a drive to create history. We are eager and motivated to improve further. We’re thrilled to engage in these matches and can’t wait,” he stated.
Since joining PSG in 2023, Luis Enrique has consistently guided Les Parisiens to at least the semi-finals of the Champions League.
