Manchester United has officially unveiled their new away kit for the 2026-27 season, following a playful “leak” of their merchandise featuring British rapper Stormzy in a social media stunt.

The club seemingly shared an image of Stormzy sporting a yet-to-be-released blue jersey while attending the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium, which fans quickly recognized as the upcoming away kit.

The official reveal came the next day, with United announcing a kit that “revisits one of the club’s most iconic away identities through a modern perspective.”

This striking, retro-inspired jersey pays homage to the royal blue third shirts worn by United during the late 1980s, a design the club has revisited several times since. Notable examples include the blue and red third kits from 2005-07 and 2014-15.

In addition to its nostalgic flair, the 2026-27 jersey features a wave pattern in the fabric, symbolizing the River Irwell, which flows near Old Trafford. The tricolor trim and classic Adidas trefoil add an extra touch of sophistication to the overall look.
