Man United Receive Fitness…

Manchester United may consider recalling Kobbie Mainoo, following comments from Michael Carrick, who stated that “a decision needs to be made” ahead of the important fixture against Chelsea this weekend.

The Red Devils are heading to Stamford Bridge, currently holding third place in the league and seven points ahead of Chelsea, who sit in sixth. With the top five spots qualifying for next season’s Champions League, this match is crucial.

Mainoo missed the recent defeat to Leeds due to an injury sustained in training last week. However, Carrick has provided some encouraging news for United at this critical juncture in the season.

“Kobbie is making progress and working towards his return, so we have some choices to consider,” Carrick said.

Carrick also mentioned that Ayden Heaven might be tapped to play, especially in light of suspensions affecting Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez.

“Ayden is in a good spot,” Carrick noted. “He’s young and still developing early in his career, so it’s expected for him to have some ups and downs. He’s training well, improving, and certainly putting in the effort. Given his age, he’s actually ahead of schedule with the games he’s played.”

“He recently trained with the England squad and performed admirably. He’s eagerly looking forward to the match.”

Meanwhile, Patrick Dorgu will remain unavailable, although he is recovering well from a hamstring injury sustained against Arsenal in January.

“Patrick won’t be [available for the Chelsea match],” Carrick confirmed. “He’s doing well and on track with his rehab, but he’s not yet back in training.”

“It is encouraging that he’s back on the pitch and making progress.”
