During the summer transfer window, Bradley Barcola frequently appeared in discussions as clubs assessed potential targets. With PSG boasting considerable attacking talent, it was logical for some players to explore options for a more consistent playing time.
Barcola struggled to secure a definitive position, contending with Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, which intensified speculation about a potential transfer.

Back in July, RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins remarked that his exit depended on two factors: Barcola would need to advocate for it, and PSG would have to receive an offer exceeding one hundred million euros. Neither of these conditions was met, despite Liverpool and other clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.

Any deal would likely require Manchester United to provide a significant sum to even out the exchange. However, former Aston Villa and Everton chief executive Keith Wyness believes the transaction could indeed happen.

“The intriguing aspect of this situation is that PSG is hinting at a move for Rashford, and there could be a player swap involving Bradley Barcola, which I think makes sense for United,” Wyness mentioned.
“Barcola is much younger, around 23 years old, and if they were to acquire Rashford and facilitate a player swap, it would likely benefit United more than letting him go for a relatively low fee, which I believe is about 30 million, if memory serves me right.

“From Rashford’s perspective, I think he would prefer to remain at Barcelona. However, a move to PSG isn’t the worst alternative, as he could have ample opportunities there. Additionally, I suspect there could be a bidding war regarding wage offers for Rashford.”
