Following the departure of Bernardo Silva, England’s top midfield target is now Elliot Anderson.

Nottingham Forest is asking for £125 million for the 23-year-old, who is contracted at City Ground until 2029.
Nottingham Forest has set a remarkable price tag on Manchester City target Elliot Anderson as the summer transfer window approaches, according to recent reports.
City is strategizing for a future without club captain Bernardo Silva, who is leaving the club as a free agent, along with John Stones. The duo received a warm send-off at the Etihad Stadium after their final matches in sky blue last week.

Pep Guardiola has also concluded a successful decade at Manchester City, with former EDS coach Enzo Maresca lined up as his successor on a three-year contract.
What are Manchester City’s transfer plans this summer?
Maresca is believed to have engaged in preliminary discussions regarding pre-season and transfers with City’s sporting director Hugo Viana, who will support the new manager in the upcoming transfer market as the team looks to build on a successful Carabao Cup and FA Cup winning season.
City is focused on revamping their midfield ahead of the new season, with top target Elliot Anderson signaling his preference to join the Etihad Stadium despite interest from Manchester United.

Sources close to the club have clarified that the Blues are not pursuing Chelsea vice-captain Enzo Fernandez, who was linked with a potential move to reunite with his former manager Maresca in Manchester.

Report: Forest quotes £125 million for Anderson
As reported by Mail Sport, while Manchester United has its sights set on midfield targets like Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni or Anderson, the latter is expected to join Manchester City if a fee can be agreed.
Negotiators working with Forest say they have set a £125 million price for the England international, while City values the transfer closer to £90 million.

City may also be looking at signing a new right-back, possibly freeing up wingers Savinho and Omar Marmoush to create room for a world-class addition in this position, similar to the impact made by Antoine Semenyo after his arrival from Bournemouth in January.
