According to Simon Bajkowski from the Manchester Evening News, Ruben Dias will not be able to play for Manchester City this weekend as his ankle injury may keep him out for the rest of April.

Josko Gvardiol is also unavailable, raising concerns about the fitness of John Stones.

Despite these absences, City recently acquired Marc Guehi during the January transfer window and still have Abdukodir Khusanov and Nathan Ake ready, so they should still be able to form a competent center-back partnership for Sunday.

Dias played against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September, but he missed the League Cup final after suffering an ankle injury during Manchester City’s Champions League exit to Real Madrid.

Initially, it was unclear how long Dias would be out, which led to hopes for his return in time for the Premier League clash. However, that now seems unlikely.

Nico O’Reilly is also questionable for the Arsenal match after picking up a hamstring injury last week, though Pep Guardiola has confirmed that O’Reilly is “fine.”

Aside from their defensive challenges, Manchester City is enjoying a relatively clean bill of health as the season progresses. They currently expect no absences among their midfielders, wingers, or forwards for the Arsenal match, and all of their goalkeepers are fit as well.

It seems that only the center-back position poses a few issues, a situation that the team has been managing in recent weeks.
