Last season, Strahinja Pavlovic struggled to adjust to life in Serie A, facing criticism for several of his performances. However, the defender has made significant improvements in the current campaign, garnering interest from both Chelsea and Manchester United.
Get Italian Football has reported on Chelsea’s interest in the Serbian player, mentioning that the club has had its eye on him for some time and is expected to make a move.

Daniele Longo has now indicated that the list of clubs interested in Pavlovic has expanded, with multiple teams, including Manchester United, expressing inquiries.
As it stands, Chelsea appears to be the frontrunner for his signature. Acquiring Pavlovic could allow them to move on from Benoit Badiashile, who has also attracted interest from AC Milan.
Max Allegri’s side is unlikely to make Pavlovic’s transfer easy, reportedly seeking €50 million for the defender. This fee would enable them to pursue Mario Gila from Lazio as a replacement.
Pavlovic has significantly developed into a ball-playing left center-back this season, even contributing goals, including a stunning strike against Torino. Even though he may have occasional lapses, his ability to contribute positively on the ball could be vital for Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s need for a center-back isn’t as pressing, which may give Chelsea the upper hand in pursuing Pavlovic.
