Last week, international team managers announced their squad selections, but William Saliba (France), Gabriel Magalhaes (Brazil), Eberechi Eze (England), Jurrien Timber (Netherlands), and Leandro Trossard (Belgium) have all withdrawn due to various injuries.
Additionally, Martin Odegaard (Norway) and Mikel Merino (Spain) are also absent due to injury. Furthermore, Gabriel Jesus and Kepa Arrizabalaga were not selected.
With the exception of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Max Dowman, who are with the England youth teams, the rest of Mikel Arteta’s squad has been called up.

Viktor Gyokeres (Sweden), Christian Norgaard (Denmark), Riccardo Calafiori (Italy), and on loan Jakub Kiwior (Poland) are all set for crucial World Cup qualifiers, marking a final opportunity for their teams to qualify for the tournament.
The others will participate in friendly matches, including Gabriel Martinelli (Brazil), Kai Havertz (Germany), Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Noni Madueke, Ben White (England), David Raya, Martin Zubimendi, Cristhian Mosquera (Spain), and Piero Hincapie (Ecuador) all featuring for their respective countries.
It’s noteworthy that this will be Havertz’s first game since 2024, White’s first since 2022, and Mosquera’s first call-up at the senior level. This opportunity is significant for all three players, even without competitive fixtures.
Additionally, Saka and Rice have only been named for the second of England’s two friendlies against Japan and will not be participating in the first match against Uruguay.
