Goalkeeper Marius Muller says he is aiming for a season with plenty to enjoy after completing a move to Aberdeen from Wolfsburg.
The 33-year-old has signed a two-year contract at Pittodrie.
Speaking to the club’s media, Muller said it feels good to have arrived, noting the transfer came together quickly and that he’s pleased to be in Scotland. He added that he wants to contribute through his experience and mindset, staying calm in key moments and providing leadership from the back. He also called for unity between the players and the supporters, promising to give everything and share in the celebrations with the fans. He’s hoping for an exciting campaign with lots of highlights.
Muller, who has played fewer than 10 games over the last two seasons, sought advice from fellow German Denis Geiger, who spent last season on loan at Pittodrie.
He began his career at Kaiserslautern, had spells with RB Leipzig and Schalke in Germany, and spent four years at Swiss side Luzern, winning the Swiss Cup in 2021.
Manager Stephen Robinson said Muller is an experienced goalkeeper with a strong record, and that he will bring competition, leadership and know-how to the goalkeeping group. He highlighted Muller’s character and professionalism as valuable assets on and off the pitch.
