Nayef Aguerd (30) of Olympique de Marseille is reportedly garnering interest from clubs in the Gulf region, as reported by La Provence. Additionally, other teams are showing interest in the player from Kenitra.
Aguerd joined West Ham United last summer for €23 million and was considered one of Marseille’s key acquisitions during that transfer window, along with a notable salary.
However, it has been a challenging season for the Moroccan defender, who has not met the expectations set for him. Though he has started in 21 of the 22 matches he played in all competitions during the 2026–27 season, he has struggled with a series of injuries that have sidelined him.
Despite having a contract that runs until 2030, Aguerd might find himself as a key figure in Marseille’s need to generate cash, particularly following their failure to qualify for the Champions League, which has put significant financial pressure on the club.
