Mikel Arteta says Bruno…

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes Bruno Guimaraes’ arrival will inject fresh impetus into the team and suggested the club may not be finished in the summer market.

The £75m signing from Newcastle United was confirmed on Saturday, and the 28-year-old midfielder was presented to supporters at Emirates Stadium before Sunday’s match against Borussia Dortmund.

Guimaraes did not feature in the squad for the 3-2 defeat to Dortmund, but he is expected to be involved against Como on Wednesday.

Arteta said Guimaraes brings bite, technical quality, intuition, leadership, and charisma—attributes he believes will lift the group.

He added that the Brazilian has already brought energy to the training ground and arrived with the hunger and ambition to make history at Arsenal, qualities the club needs as it pushes to the next level.

Guimaraes’ addition further strengthens Arsenal’s midfield options alongside Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Martin Zubimendi, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri, Eberechi Eze, and Mikel Merino.
