Milan Targets Paratici for…

Fabio Paratici took the position at Fiorentina in February, but recent reports indicate that AC Milan has set its sights on him to become their new director of sport.

Following their failure to qualify for the Champions League, the Rossoneri are undergoing a significant overhaul of their management team.

Coach Max Allegri, CEO Giorgio Furlani, director of sport Igli Tare, and technical director Geoffrey Moncada were all dismissed in a single official statement.

While Andoni Areola and Xavi are being considered as potential candidates for the coaching role, their immediate priority will be to secure a new director of sport to head the transfer strategy.

According to reports from MilanPress and various Calciomercato experts, Paratici is the leading candidate for Milan’s director of sport position.

It is reported that special advisor to Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reached out to Paratici to inquire about his interest in the role.

Paratici only recently took on the role at Fiorentina after leaving Tottenham Hotspur, and prior to that, served as the director of sport at Juventus from 2010 to 2021.

During his tenure at Juventus, some creative accounting methods related to player sales led to the club facing penalties and point deductions.

Paratici received a 30-month suspension from all football activities in April 2023 and later returned to Tottenham in October 2025.

Concerns over a potential extension of his ban had previously led to Milan retracting their job offer to Paratici in April 2025.

Another potential candidate for Milan’s director of sport position is current director at Atalanta, Tony D’Amico, although he’s reported to be moving to Roma instead.

Atalanta is expected to replace D’Amico with former Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli.
