Mo Salah criticizes…

The reigning Premier League champions, Liverpool, are facing yet another challenge in their troubled 2025/26 league season, following startling comments from their star player, Mohamed Salah.

During a recent match at Elland Road against Leeds United, which ended in a dramatic 3-3 draw, Salah found himself sitting on the bench under manager Arne Slot. This decision has raised eyebrows, especially as the team allowed their lead to slip late in the game.

For Salah, this ongoing lack of playing time has crossed a line.

“I can’t believe it; I am very disappointed,” expressed the club legend. “I’ve contributed so much to this club over the years, especially last season. Being left on the bench is something I cannot understand. I feel like the club is throwing me under the bus. That’s genuinely how I feel.”

“I had a great relationship with the manager,” Salah went on. “Suddenly, that seems to have disappeared. I’m not sure why this is happening. It feels as if someone doesn’t want me at the club.”

As Liverpool navigated a summer where they saw Trent Alexander-Arnold leave while welcoming new players like Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, and Florian Wirtz, questions about Salah’s future at Anfield are starting to resurface.

“We will see what happens. In my mind, I will enjoy playing, even if I’m not on the pitch,” he stated. “It’s at Anfield, a chance to bid farewell to the fans before heading to AFCON… because honestly, I have no idea what awaits me there.”

Salah will soon join the Egyptian national team, which is preparing for the World Cup and will kick off their AFCON 2025 group stage against Zimbabwe in Agadir on December 22.
