Mohamed Salah will not be joining MLS or moving to the Saudi Pro League; instead, Liverpool‘s Egyptian star is set to sign with Trabzonspor in Turkiye.
The 34-year-old Salah is currently finalizing a medical examination as he approaches a contract agreement with the Turkish club.

Liverpool and Salah agreed to part ways near the end of the last season, concluding a notable partnership in which the Egyptian scored 257 goals and provided 113 assists over 442 appearances, claiming two Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy.

Salah has represented Egypt 119 times, scoring one goal and assisting two during the World Cup, where the Pharaohs advanced to the Round of 16 before a dramatic 3-2 defeat to Argentina, having led 2-0 until the 79th minute.
Last season, Trabzonspor secured a third-place finish in the Turkish Super Lig and won the Turkish Cup. The team features notable players like former Southampton forward Paul Onuachu, Ukrainian international Ruslan Malinovskyi, and Albanian player Ernest Muci.

Salah and his new teammates will begin their Europa League qualification campaign on August 20, facing either Ferencvaros or Gornik Zabrze in the playoff rounds.
