Jamie Carragher has encouraged Mohamed Salah to rethink the prospect of leaving Liverpool for a move to Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the importance of giving the Egypt international a memorable farewell at Anfield.
Carragher recently criticized Salah for stating he felt “thrown under a bus” by manager Arne Slot, and he expressed doubts about the forward’s future at the club beyond the current season.

However, he urged Salah to put aside his disagreements with Slot and return from the Africa Cup of Nations at the end of January, in order to honor his legacy and secure the send-off his career at Liverpool deserves.
Carragher stated on Sky Sports: “I don’t see Mo Salah playing for Liverpool next season. My major concern is whether we will see him perform to his usual standards for the rest of this season.”
“If he’s considering a move, I would advise him to reconsider. The talk suggests he may be heading to the Saudi League. However, Liverpool has potential to reach the FA Cup final and the Champions League final later this season. Can you imagine Salah watching from Saudi Arabia as Liverpool walks out in Budapest for the Champions League final?”

Salah did not feature in Liverpool’s midweek victory against Inter Milan after his remarks but made his comeback in Saturday’s win over Brighton, where he acknowledged the Anfield crowd after the match.

Carragher further remarked: “He (Salah) deserves a guard of honour, a tribute in the Kop, and the chance to celebrate on the pitch with his family in his final game. He should be recognized for everything he’s accomplished as a Liverpool player.”
“So, I urge him to set aside any differences with the manager for four months and earn that special send-off.”
