According to Foot Mercato, Monaco and FC Nantes have officially agreed on the transfer of Matthis Abline (23), who is set to join the club on The Rock.
Abline is eager to make the move and is expected to sign a four-year contract as part of a deal worth approximately €30 million—comprising €25 million plus €5 million in bonuses. This transfer represents a significant milestone for Les Canaris, marking their largest sale to date.
Having nearly left Brittany last year, Abline is finally making his transfer happen after a season where he netted eight goals and assisted seven times in 34 matches, despite Nantes being relegated to Ligue 2.
At Monaco, the Angers-born striker will have to quickly adapt, as he is set to replace Folarin Balogun (25), who had an impressive World Cup and is anticipated to depart the club this summer, leading the charge in the Monegasque attack.
