According to a report from Nice-Matin, 21-year-old defender Kassoum Ouattara of Monaco is close to transferring to Turkish club Beşiktaş.
Monaco has seen significant activity in the left-back position recently, and the changes are not over yet. Earlier this week, Caio Henrique transferred to Ajax Amsterdam on a permanent basis, and shortly after, Monaco announced the signing of Nazinho from Cercle Brugge.
Hull City Shows Interest in Ouattara
Initially, it was anticipated that Ouattara might stay following Henrique’s departure, but the player is reportedly eager to join Beşiktaş. According to Nice-Matin, Ouattara has reached a preliminary agreement with the Turkish club, despite interest from Hull City, a newly promoted team in the Premier League.
Negotiations between the clubs are ongoing, and a deal appears to be close. The transfer is expected to be valued at roughly €8 million, with an additional €2 million tied to performance-related bonuses. A sell-on percentage is also under discussion. If Ouattara’s move is finalized, the acquisition of another left-back would become a priority for Monaco, especially following the addition of Nazinho.
