Yunus Musah expressed gratitude on behalf of the Atalanta players for the unwavering support they received during a challenging match, despite suffering a 6-1 home defeat to Bayern Munich.
As the only Serie A team left in the Champions League Round of 16, Atalanta’s chances of progressing in the tournament are now severely diminished following the heavy loss on Tuesday.

Musah on Atalanta’s Loss to Bayern
Even with Bayern scoring three times in the opening 25 minutes, the home fans remained a source of encouragement, continuously chanting their support until the final whistle.
“It’s like this every week. They are incredible supporters, always behind the team,” Musah shared with CBS Sports.

“You can really feel that ‘this is Bergamo.’ The entire city comes out to support us every game. The fans here are magnificent, and we’re incredibly thankful for the support they showed us today. They are consistently amazing,” he remarked.
“Participating in these Champions League matches is always special,” the USMNT international added. “We had high hopes going into the match, but unfortunately, Bayern showcased their quality, and we struggled from start to finish.”
