Max Allegri faces growing injury concerns, as AC Milan will also miss Christopher Nkunku in their upcoming match against Fiorentina on Sunday.

The match is set to kick off at San Siro at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

The Rossoneri have already had to cope without Adrien Rabiot, who suffered a calf strain while on international duty, along with Christian Pulisic, Pervis Estupinan, and Ardon Jashari.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Nkunku has been ruled out for the crucial Serie A clash after picking up an injury during international duty.

This situation leaves Allegri with limited options, likely necessitating that Rafael Leao and Ruben Loftus-Cheek start as forwards, with Santiago Gimenez available off the bench.

There are also indications that Athekame could receive his first start for Milan, as Alexis Saelemaekers is not fully fit after withdrawing from the Belgium squad due to a muscle strain.
