Fiorentina coach Paolo Vanoli faces a challenging start to his tenure, as star striker Moise Kean is unavailable for the match against Genoa due to injury.

The game will take place at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday at 14:00 GMT.

This marks Vanoli’s first match as head coach, following the dismissal of Stefano Pioli and the interim management of Daniele Galloppa, who oversaw Thursday’s 2-1 defeat to Mainz 05 in the Conference League.

Kean’s Injury Deepens Fiorentina’s Troubles

Kean, although on the bench during the European match, sustained a bruised left tibia that has ruled him out of the upcoming fixture. He will join Robin Gosens, Tariq Lamptey, and Christian Kouame on the sidelines.

This injury leaves Fiorentina with limited attacking options, likely necessitating a choice between Roberto Piccoli or Edin Dzeko to lead the line, potentially supported by former Genoa player Albert Gudmundsson.

On the bright side, defender Mattia Viti will return from suspension.
