Como has formally acquired Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea for a reported transfer fee of €30 million plus additional bonuses. “This is an ambitious and emerging project, and collaborating with manager Cesc Fabregas once again is incredibly special,” Chalobah stated.
The transfer negotiations extended over several weeks, during which Como temporarily withdrew from a non-aggression agreement with Inter.
However, when the Nerazzurri deemed the price of €30 million plus add-ons too high, they chose to walk away from discussions and left the path clear for Como.

“I’m excited and honored to be here at Como,” Chalobah shared with the club’s website. “This is a promising project, and reuniting with manager Cesc Fabregas feels incredibly special. I’m eager to contribute my experience to the team, soak up the amazing atmosphere at the stadium, and connect with the fans. I will give my all every single day to make history together.”

Fabregas, who previously worked with Chalobah at Chelsea, recognized his development over the years and his recent inclusion in the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
“Trevoh is a crucial signing for us, embodying the ambition we have at this club,” Fabregas remarked. “He has experience at the highest levels but remains hungry to start a new chapter and continue improving. He brings strength, speed, and leadership in defense, along with the technical skill to initiate play from the back. I am delighted that he has chosen Como.”
Reflecting on his time at Chelsea, the club’s official social media accounts gave him a heartfelt farewell.
