Palace to Act If…

Crystal Palace has announced their intention to take action against anyone who resold tickets for Sunday’s Premier League match against Manchester United at prices exceeding the original value, provided they are given evidence of such occurrences.

The club allocated 2,687 tickets to United for the match, exceeding the Premier League’s regulations based on the stadium’s capacity of approximately 25,000.

However, it has been revealed that Palace retained 40 tickets for the away section, which were sold internally within the club.

Privately, Palace maintains that this is a standard procedure, and the Premier League is reportedly not concerned about this practice.

Nonetheless, some United fans have alleged that a pair of these tickets were sold in paper format for £700, while the Premier League limits away ticket prices to £30.

Palace has stated that the tickets sent to United were issued digitally, but acknowledged that paper tickets may also circulate due to potential issues with digital formats.

Manchester United has indicated they will be addressing the issue with Palace, although BBC Sport has learned that the club has yet to reach out to the Premier League regarding this situation.

While Palace has not publicly commented on the allegations, sources close to the club have indicated that they will respond if provided with the necessary evidence.
