Nicky Featherstone, the manager of Hartlepool United, is motivating his players to “give it a go” as they make a final push for a spot in the National League play-offs.
After coming back from 1-0 and 2-1 down, Pools secured a victory against Morecambe on Wednesday, reducing the gap to just two points from the final play-off position.

This marks their third consecutive win, a feat they have achieved only once before this season.
With five matches left against teams positioned above them, Featherstone is urging the squad to leave everything on the pitch in these last seven games.
“If we give it our all and still fall short, I can accept that,” he shared with BBC Radio Tees. “What I don’t want is for us to fade away or unravel. The players have demonstrated their commitment in the past three matches, showing they’re ready to really fight for it.”
