We sought your opinions following Rangers’ acquisition of Belgian left-back Tuur Rommens from Westerlo on a three-and-a-half year contract.
Here’s what some of you had to say:
Andrew: Excellent signing! The focus on finding players who are excelling both at their clubs and internationally, while still having potential to improve, should be Rangers’ strategy moving forward. This transfer window has seen no panic buys; each player brought in has been a thoughtful addition that aligns with a clear recruitment plan. After a disappointing summer window, it would have been easy to make hasty acquisitions, but Rangers have chosen a more measured approach. Kudos to Andrew Cavenagh.
Chris: It’s great to finally have a left-back. Now, can we part ways with Max Aarons, please? Landing a reliable goalscorer should be our top priority, though.
Rab: Things are looking promising. I trust Danny Rohl to bring in better talent than his predecessor. Hopefully, we can also offload some underperformers during this window.
Stewart: We must trust the manager’s judgment. Everyone looks fantastic on YouTube. The manager has done an incredible job so far, especially with the challenging situation he inherited. Let’s hope his recruitment skills are as sharp as his tactical acumen.
John: This is shaping up to be a solid window for us. We need fresh talent; with Annan on Friday, which should be a win, and upcoming Europa and Dundee matches, we have two Europa games to experiment with new signings and formations without jeopardizing our league position. Truth be told, Europa seems out of reach now, but I’m really impressed with how the team has progressed since Rohl took over. Just keep winning is the best approach.
James: I’m excited about the new signings, but I’m a bit concerned about bringing in a player who could be sidelined for up to four weeks. We’ve had too many injury-prone players in the past, and I hope this isn’t another case. A prolific striker would really elevate our chances when we show up at Ibrox.
Graeme: Another player with injury concerns. I’m reserving judgment on these players until they’ve had a few games to prove themselves. Let’s wait and see.
