Preston North End’s Carabao Cup first round match against Huddersfield Town is set to take place at Goodison Park.
Deepdale is currently undergoing the installation of a new hybrid pitch, which the club anticipates will be ready for their first home Championship match against Wolves on Saturday, August 22.

The cup match is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 BST on Saturday, August 8, just ahead of the new league season.
“To prevent any complications following a significant investment of over £1.5 million, we decided to seek approval for an alternative venue for round one,” Preston officials stated.
Goodison Park was the home of Everton until the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, after which they relocated to their new Hill Dickinson Stadium, now solely occupied by the women’s team.
