Real Madrid in Talks to…

As the campaign nears its conclusion, Real Madrid has begun preparations for the upcoming season.

One of the club’s key objectives in the transfer market is to acquire a new midfielder who can bring leadership to the center of the field.

Real Madrid has yet to find suitable replacements for veteran stalwarts Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, which is why the team is exploring options for several midfielders this summer.

Real Madrid is pursuing a deal for Rodri

Among the players linked with Real Madrid is Manchester City midfielder Rodri.

As reported by MARCA, the Merengues are actively working on securing a deal for the Spanish international to strengthen their midfield.

Rodri became a point of contention for Real Madrid fans when he won the Ballon d’Or over Vinicius Jr. in 2024, but tensions have since eased somewhat.

Real Madrid views Rodri as an ideal candidate due to his leadership skills and winning mentality, alongside his extensive experience in elite football.

The report indicates that Real Madrid has not yet made significant progress in their pursuit of Rodri for the upcoming summer.

However, if the Spanish international submits a transfer request to Manchester City, the club may be willing to let him depart.

Rodri has been a valuable player for Manchester City, participating in nearly 300 competitive matches since joining the club in 2019.

Despite this, his transfer fee could pose a challenge, which may explain why Real Madrid is also considering other options in the market, including Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea.
