Real Madrid has secured the services of forward Carlos Espí from Levante with a five-year contract, as announced by the club on Thursday.
The 21-year-old, who has represented Spain at the youth level, had an impressive season in LaLiga, scoring 11 goals and earning the title of the league’s best player under 23.

Earlier reports from ESPN indicated that Madrid had their sights set on Espí to take the place of Gonzalo García, who is on the verge of joining Fulham.
In their statement, Madrid confirmed, “Real Madrid C.F. and Levante U.D. have reached an agreement for the transfer of Carlos Espí, who will now remain with our club for the next five seasons, until June 30, 2031.”
“At just 21 years old, Carlos Espí has spent three seasons with Levante, making 66 appearances and scoring 20 goals.”
Espí will now vie for a forward position alongside Kylian Mbappé and Endrick under the guidance of new head coach, José Mourinho.
Espí marks the fifth signing for Madrid this summer, following the additions of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konaté, and Denzel Dumfries.
Additionally, ESPN has reported that Madrid is nearing a deal to bring in Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig and is optimistic about finalizing a deal for Rodri from Manchester City as they wrap up a hectic transfer window.
