Real Madrid is gearing up for the upcoming season as Jose Mourinho aims to breathe new life into a squad that has struggled to keep pace with Barcelona in recent years.
After finishing two consecutive seasons without silverware, Mourinho has been quick to bolster the squad, already bringing in four new players.

As reported by El Debate, three players, in particular, are focused on making a strong impression on Mourinho during the pre-season to secure their places at the Bernabeu.
These are Eduardo Camavinga, Raul Asencio, and Franco Mastantuono. None of them featured in the World Cup this summer, making them available for Mourinho from the start of training.

While Asencio’s hopes of making it to the World Cup were slim, the exclusions of Mastantuono and Camavinga raised eyebrows among their national team coaches.
Despite their absence, their teams performed well, with Spain, France, and Argentina all reaching the semifinals. With the summer off, these players are poised to make an impact as the new season approaches.

In addition to their World Cup exclusions, these three players share another concern: all have been linked with exits from Santiago Bernabeu this summer. They are focused on proving their worth to the club and securing their positions.

Several Premier League teams have shown interest in Camavinga, who seems to have an uncertain future at the club.
Asencio is likely to slide down the depth chart after the arrival of Ibrahima Konate, as Mourinho seeks one more centre-back.
Meanwhile, while Mastantuono is not expected to depart permanently soon, he has been linked to a loan move following an underwhelming debut season in Spain.
Of the three, moving Asencio’s sale makes the most sense for Real Madrid to create room for another new defender.
If Camavinga departs, this also may allow for the addition of a new midfielder, although he seems reluctant to leave the club.
