Report: Chelsea Eye Summer…

Reports from Italy suggest that Chelsea, a Premier League club, might be preparing to pursue Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic during the upcoming summer transfer window, although they face competition from other clubs interested in the Serbian international.

Chelsea and Manchester United Show Interest in Milan’s Pavlovic

Pavlovic has been with AC Milan for the past two seasons, having transferred from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2024 for €18 million plus add-ons.

After initially not being a regular starter until the end of the 2024-25 season, he has made a significant impact in the 2025-26 season with four goals and an assist in 31 league matches.

His strong performances from the left flank of Milan’s defense have drawn the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and, more recently, Chelsea, as reported by Calciomercato.com. Reports also indicate interest from various clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

However, Calciomercato highlights that Chelsea has been particularly eager to secure Pavlovic’s services this summer.

Reports indicate that Milan wishes to retain Pavlovic for the upcoming 2026-27 season. However, they may not stand in the way of a move if a compelling offer is made, reminiscent of their recent dealings involving players like Malick Thiaw, Tijjani Reijnders, and Sandro Tonali in recent seasons.

Milan reportedly values Pavlovic at around €50 million, a sum that would be feasible for a financially robust club like Chelsea.

Moreover, Chelsea is expected to offload center-back Benoit Badiashile this summer, who has previously been linked with a transfer to Milan. However, Calciomercato reports that the Rossoneri are not interested in part-exchange deals involving Pavlovic.

Milan is reportedly interested in acquiring Lazio‘s Mario Gila, and selling Pavlovic could help them finance that acquisition.
