Report: Milan Eye Xabi…

Max Allegri’s future at AC Milan is uncertain, with speculation surrounding his departure. The club may turn to former Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso or Bologna coach Vincenzo Italiano. However, it seems one of these candidates is leaning towards joining Chelsea.

Behind the scenes, tensions are escalating following a disappointing series of results that jeopardize Champions League qualification as the Serie A season approaches its final matches.

Additionally, long-time Milan journalist Carlo Pellegatti has suggested that Allegri is at odds with CEO Giorgio Furlani, casting doubt on his return for another season. Allegri reportedly disagrees with decisions regarding player signings made by the club’s management.

If Allegri were to leave the club, Furlani would have to consider alternative options, and they are actively exploring candidates now. The top choice may be Xabi Alonso, who recently experienced success with Bayer Leverkusen but was let go by Real Madrid after just 34 matches in charge.

However, reports suggest that Alonso is already in advanced talks with Chelsea. Therefore, the next most viable option for Milan appears to be Italiano, who has made strides at Bologna following his victory over Milan in the Coppa Italia Final last season. He was previously considered for the San Siro role before Allegri’s appointment.
