Earlier this week, Florentino Perez indicated a desire for a Galactico signing if he secures re-election as Real Madrid president this weekend. The 79-year-old revealed plans for a €150 million bid for an undisclosed player, sparking speculation among fans and the media regarding the identity of this potential record signing.
Perez has dismissed several names when questioned about the target, leading to speculation that the top candidate might be PSG’s Vitinha or Joao Neves. However, it appears that Real Madrid is actually eyeing one of the players Perez ruled out if he continues as president.
According to Diario AS, the player in question is Michael Olise, who has recently been the subject of Real Madrid’s interest. The 24-year-old had an impressive season, recording 22 goals and 26 assists in 52 matches across all competitions, and Perez views him as the perfect player to usher in a new era for the club.

The challenge Perez may encounter is that Bayern Munich has publicly stated in recent months that Olise is off-limits for any price. Thus, even with a €150 million offer as promised by Perez, it is likely to be swiftly rejected.
If that is the case, Perez and Real Madrid might aim to leverage Olise’s profile to pressure Bayern into a sale. While it’s uncertain whether the France international would be inclined to move to the Bernabeu this summer, it’s evident that substantial efforts would be made to persuade him if any hesitations arise.
