Riccardo Calafiori Injury…

Riccardo Calafiori has been facing challenges with injuries lately, and it appears he has sustained another setback.

Arsenal had included the Italian international in their starting lineup for the FA Cup fourth-round match against Wigan Athletic on Sunday.

However, when the squads were announced, Calafiori was absent due to an injury he incurred during the warm-up.

With Calafiori sidelined, Bukayo Saka was shifted into the starting eleven to take on a central midfield role, while Myles Lewis-Skelly moved from midfield to left back to cover for Calafiori.

Riccardo Calafiori Injury Update

In a post-match interview with TNT Sports, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was asked about the latest on Calafiori and Ben White, who left the match in the second half. He did not provide significant details regarding their conditions before Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League match against Wolves.

“We’ll see in the next day or two for updates on them,” Arteta mentioned. He later added in his press conference that “we have to wait for about 48 hours to see how things progress” regarding the injuries.
