Now, the Spain international is poised for even greater achievements after Liverpool secured the deal, outpacing Newcastle, who believed they were closing in on Munoz. The Premier League champions escalated their interest and secured the player.
A medical examination was scheduled promptly at Spain’s FIFA World Cup training camp, where Munoz signed a six-year contract at Anfield, thanks in part to the involvement of Andoni Iraola.
Iraola Aided Liverpool in Securing Munoz
Announced as the replacement for Arne Slot in early June, the Spaniard played a pivotal role in encouraging Munoz to join him at Liverpool.
The winger shared insights about discussions with the Basque tactician, who articulated a compelling vision for the future that attracted Munoz to Merseyside.

Munoz Battles Injury During World Cup
Munoz successfully passed his medical but later encountered a setback in his recovery from a muscle injury that affected the conclusion of his LaLiga season.
Although he remains part of the Spain squad for the World Cup, he is not anticipated to participate in the upcoming group stage match against Uruguay this weekend.
“We were managing it (the injury), but I felt some discomfort, and we’re trying to return to the field as soon as possible,” he explained.

Victor Munoz Aspires for World Cup Debut
Munoz is back on the training pitch with his teammates and has been seen conversing with Spain’s national team psychologist Javier Lopez Vallejo during the camp.
“I have discussions with Javi both here and outside,” Munoz revealed.
“He helps me a lot and offers a new perspective on everything that happens here. It’s a privilege to have him around.”
Spain appears well-positioned for a deep run in the World Cup hosted in North America. Even though Munoz has yet to step onto the field, he is eager to participate once the knockout rounds begin.
