Liverpool has set its sights on enhancing its one-on-one capabilities on the wings during this summer’s transfer window.
The club has already completed a transfer for Victor Munoz, the 23-year-old FIFA World Cup winner, who joins from Osasuna for £34 million.
However, more reinforcements are necessary, especially following Mohamed Salah‘s exit on a lucrative free transfer to Trabzonspor.
Richard Hughes remains actively pursuing Bradley Barcola, the Paris Saint-Germain winger whose club values him at £145 million.
The current Premier League champions are hoping to negotiate that price down before the transfer window shuts on September 1.
Liverpool turns its attention to Minteh
In other news, Liverpool is also pursuing a deal for Yankuba Minteh.
The long-time target has seen two bids from Liverpool—worth £50 million and £60 million—turned down by Brighton, who reportedly won’t negotiate for less than £70 million.

Liverpool interested in Ibrahim Mbaye
Another winger under consideration is PSG’s Ibrahim Mbaye. Last week, it was reported that the Senegal international, 18, had already reached an agreement on personal terms for a five-year deal at Anfield.
Those claims were quickly dismissed by club insiders, who clarified that Liverpool’s interest is currently “exploratory.” It appears this potential transfer has stalled due to PSG’s asking price.
According to RMC Sport, PSG is demanding an astonishing €70 million (£60 million) for the young attacker before allowing him to leave.

Despite already winning several titles early in his career, Mbaye is still learning, and that asking price does not seem justified based on current market standards.
If Liverpool were to sign Mbaye, it would be a bet on potential, as he prefers playing on the right flank.

PSG demands £60 million for Mbaye
This price tag poses a risk, as Andoni Iraola is seeking players who can deliver immediately—someone who can make an impact right away.
RMC reports that Liverpool has been deterred by Mbaye’s price and would prefer to value him at around €50 million (£43 million).
“Liverpool maintains interest in Ibrahim Mbaye, and the player has agreed on terms for a contract with the club,” the report states.
However, as it stands, Liverpool is not willing to invest €70 million in the PSG player.

“Internally, Liverpool, which has been exploring other options, is reportedly reluctant to exceed €60 million, considering Mbaye still has two years left on his PSG contract and PSG has indicated he is free to leave this summer.”
Barcola and Minteh likely signings
Reports indicate that Liverpool is targeting Barcola and potentially one other player as part of their winger overhaul in the closing weeks of the transfer window.
