Manchester City have consistently posed a challenge for Arsenal in their pursuit of silverware.
During two of Arsenal’s three Premier League campaigns where they finished second, they found themselves trailing behind Pep Guardiola’s team.

City secured a victory against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final, delivering one of their standout performances of the season, which appears to have motivated them moving forward.
Earlier on Saturday, they overwhelmed Liverpool with a 4-0 win in the FA Cup, advancing to the semi-finals, while Arsenal suffered a defeat against Southampton in their quarter-finals.
Arsenal will need to visit the Etihad Stadium in April, which is expected to significantly influence the ongoing title race.
“Just weeks ago, people were discussing Arsenal’s chances for a quadruple. Now, they are only in two competitions,” remarked former Manchester City and England defender Micah Richards.
“Man City, after their earlier triumph against Liverpool in the FA Cup, seem poised to challenge Arsenal fiercely for the league title.”

“What disappointed me most was observing Arsenal’s attitude. While they’ve been strong defensively and effective in transitions, their overall performance was lacking on that day.”
Arsenal will be eager to ensure this setback is merely a minor glitch in what can still evolve into a successful season, but they must quickly regain their best form.
