Robinio Vaz (18) appears to have confirmed his imminent exit from Olympique de Marseille after posting – and quickly deleting – a farewell message to fans on Instagram, hinting at a move to AS Roma.
The 18-year-old forward shared an emotional farewell on Monday evening, expressing gratitude to Marseille fans, teammates, and the club for his experiences at the Vélodrome, alongside a photo of himself in OM colors during a rainy match. Though the post was swiftly deleted, it has only fueled speculation regarding his impending transfer to Italy.

“People of Marseille, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for this time at OM, for all the shared moments and happiness,” Vaz wrote. “Some chapters may be brief, yet they are significant in a career. Thank you to my teammates.”
Vaz is anticipated to depart Marseille this winter, with various French media outlets reporting that the two clubs have reached an agreement for a six-month loan with an obligatory purchase option valued at around €25 million, including bonuses. Personal terms for a four-and-a-half-year contract have also allegedly been agreed upon, although the transfer will not be official until the player undergoes a medical examination and finalizes the paperwork.
Despite the advanced stage of discussions, Vaz remains an OM player for now. According to La Provence, he has been training individually at La Commanderie and is not expected to play again before his departure is finalized.
Having joined from Sochaux for just €200,000 in August 2024, Vaz quickly made an impact at the senior level, scoring four goals and providing two assists in 14 Ligue 1 appearances during the first half of the season. His last match for Marseille likely occurred in the Coupe de France against Bourg-en-Bresse on December 21.
